Hendy Group CEO Paul Hendy Receives Global Ford Award for 165-year Legacy of Community Giving

DUNTON, UK – Paul Hendy, CEO of Hendy Group Ltd, has been recognised by Ford as one of eight recipients worldwide of its 2026 Salute to Dealers award, celebrating dealer principals for their philanthropic and community contributions.

Based in Hampshire and serving communities across England’s South Coast, Paul has helped build on a family legacy of charitable giving that stretches back more than 165 years. He established the Hendy Foundation to bring the Group’s community support under one roof and help it go further, faster. Since launching, the Foundation has supported more than 350 charities, backing causes ranging from food insecurity to domestic abuse support.

“Seeing people benefiting from a project you have funded reminds you why giving matters,” said Paul. “It stays with you, because you know you’ve touched people’s lives and played a small part in something that will continue to help others long into the future.”

The Hendy Foundation’s work spans practical, local support - including education grants, housing assistance, and specialist equipment such as electric wheelchairs for young people. Paul has also introduced ways for employees and customers to get involved, including a micro-donation option at the point of sale. Alongside funding, Hendy Group can provide hands-on help too, such as making Ford Transit vans available for charitable deliveries, enabling support to reach communities quickly when it’s needed most.

Now in its 26th year, Ford’s Salute to Dealers award recognises the philanthropic and community contributions of dealers around the world. For 2026, eight dealer principals were selected from 127 nominations. The award ceremony was held in Las Vegas on 3rd Feb, alongside the annual National Automobile Dealers Association convention. In 2025, Ford launched Building Together, a company-wide community initiative, to demonstrate the continued committed between Ford, its global dealer network, and trusted nonprofits to build stronger, more resilient communities.
