From former U.S. President Barack Obama to comedian Chris Farley, the list of notable guests who once sat across the desk from “The Tonight Show” host Jay Leno is a long one. Leno finds himself on the other side of the interview table when he joins Ford CEO Jim Farley for the Season 3 finale of DRIVE.
In addition to memories of his favorite late-night interviews and tales from his early days as a stand-up comedian, Leno also touches on oddities such as his penchant for mechanical watches, the quirks of owning English motorcycles, and why pirates historically wore eye patches. And he does it all with the classic Leno humor that made him a television mainstay for decades.
“I (did stand-up) every weekend somewhere, because I know TV jobs only last a certain amount of time,” Leno explains. “Sometimes it’s 13 weeks. I was lucky – it lasted 22 years.”
