Going Dutch to Promote Road Safety in Poland

Sep 03, 2026

WARSAW, Poland - Festivalgoers at the recent Joy Ride event in Białka Tatrzańska were treated to a special attraction – the Ford Driving Skills for Life zone.

Under the guidance of experienced trainers, visitors got to learn the principles of safe driving, the dangers of distraction, as well as understanding good practices for all road users.

There was also a station that combined physical activity with virtual reality technology. In the 'Energy and Empathy VR' zone, was a kinetic bike where participants could generate green energy on their own.

Meanwhile, the VR simulation allowed visitors to look at the road from two opposing perspectives – first as a cyclist being passed closely by a car, and then from a seated position as a driver watching the exact same situation.

Ford Poland’s Mariusz Jasinski said: “All the prepared educational zones were very popular among participants of the Joy Ride festival, showing that learning safe road behaviours can be both engaging and practical.”
