On the evening of July 6, a sudden typhoon and torrential rain struck Guigang, Guangxi, triggering an urgent crisis.
Four volunteer rescuers from the Ford Owners Rescue Alliance raced across 200 kilometers from Liuzhou, arriving on the front lines in just two hours.
The Ford "Wild Guardians" Initiative immediately deployed emergency relief funds and support vehicles, enabling the team to procure critical living supplies along the way and deliver them straight into the disaster zone.
Meanwhile, Ford acted swiftly in partnership with Lianxin Rescue to set up a Community Relief Kitchen.
By July 9, working side by side with 11 other rescue teams, the Ford owner-rescuers had safely evacuated more than 1,000 stranded students and teachers, rescued trapped infants and expectant mothers, and handed them over to medical volunteers for further care. In addition, the Relief Kitchen served nearly 4,000 hot meals to affected residents.
Operating inside the disaster zone, the four Ford support vehicles played a crucial role in transporting evacuees and delivering hot meals and emergency supplies.
We salute every Ford owner who stepped forward in the hour of need.
