Ford Argentina and its dealer network unveiled the newly renovated School N°95 "Rodolfo Ragucci" in Telsen, Chubut, located 172 kilometers from Puerto Madryn. The renovation focused on creating safer, more comfortable, and more sustainable spaces to support students' growth and enhance the well-being of the entire school community.
One morning, one plaque, and a wave of emotion
On August 20th, the community of Telsen —a town of 700 residents spread across different locations— gathered at "Rodolfo Ragucci" school to celebrate education and the commitment to keep building a better future. Local authorities from the police, the rural hospital, the local government, and the Ministry of Education took part, along with Ford executives and members of the "Pedro Corradi" dealership, the school's sponsor. But above all, the true protagonists of the day were the 43 elementary and pre-elementary students.
The ribbon-cutting and the handing over of the institutional plaque marked the start of a new chapter for the school, a symbolic gesture that represents much more than a building upgrade: it means expanding the possibilities to learn, play, share, and grow for the entire school community. Students closed the ceremony with musical performances that invited everyone to enjoy local music and culture, and the celebration continued into the afternoon with a kermesse full of recreational activities for kids and families.
A historic bond
Between 1968 and 1982, Ford Argentina and its dealer network built and donated 41 rural schools across the country, as part of the "Ford Para la Educación" program. Since 2003, that commitment has continued through "Educación Para un Nuevo Mañana," an initiative that seeks to renovate and reopen these institutions to adapt them to the current needs of each community. With this intervention, "Rodolfo Ragucci" becomes school N°34 out of the original 41 to be revitalized.
Spaces that build stories
Built and donated in 1970 by Ford and its dealers, the school has supported generations of students and families for more than five decades. Renovation works began in early 2026, and included:
- Outdoor courtyard: demolition of the existing floor and installation of a new smooth surface, along with the provision of sports equipment, achieving an optimized space for recreational activities.
- Greenhouse: metal structure, column bases, concrete flooring, and polycarbonate sinusoidal sheeting, with a section dedicated to seedlings, plants, and composting to generate fertilizer without agrochemicals.
- New playground equipment: the addition of children's play structures made from recycled materials.
Ultimately, the school represents much more than a building: it's a space for connection, friendship, and community, where learning and happiness go hand in hand. That is, at its core, the essence of Ford's proposal across the country.
