Ford Vietnam Opens Northern Learning Center to Strengthen Dealer Capabilities

Aug 06, 2026

The new global-standard facility in Hai Phong completes Ford Vietnam’s training network across the country, reinforcing its investment in people and customer experience.

Ford Vietnam opened its Northern Learning Center at the Hai Phong Assembly Plant on Aug. 5, marking an important milestone in the company’s long-term investment in workforce development.

Together with the Southern Learning Center in Ho Chi Minh City, the new facility establishes a comprehensive training network for Ford dealers across Vietnam. The two centers are expected to train approximately 4,500 dealer employees each year in areas including sales, service, technical operations and dealer management

“Vietnam is playing an increasingly important role in Ford’s regional growth strategy. The investment in a network of training centers built to Ford’s global standards reflects Ford’s confidence in the market’s growth potential and the capabilities of the local workforce,” said Pradeep Jaiswal, Director Service Engineering & Operations IMG.

Preparing Teams for New Technologies

As the automotive industry evolves with connected technologies, advanced safety systems and electrification, continuous learning is increasingly important across Ford’s dealer network.

Built to Ford’s global standards, the approximately 1,000-square-meter Northern Learning Center combines classroom instruction with hands-on learning. The facility includes a vehicle display area, four large classrooms integrated with practical workshop spaces, and two specialized training rooms featuring engine, transmission and axle models.

The center is also fully equipped to deliver training on the Mustang Mach-E, helping sales and technical employees develop the capabilities needed to support electric vehicles.

Training programs are developed by Ford Vietnam experts in collaboration with Ford’s global Learning Centers. By combining theory with practical experience, the programs help accelerate technology transfer, strengthen employee capabilities and support consistent sales and aftersales quality across the dealer network.

“At Ford, training is not simply an operational support activity; it is the foundation for maintaining consistent service standards across our network. As automotive technology continues to evolve and customer expectations continue to rise, investing in our people’s capabilities is an investment in the customer experience,” said Ruchik Shah, Managing Director, Ford Vietnam.

Investing in People and Customer Experience

The expanded training network will support employees at different stages of their careers, from team members developing essential skills to experienced technicians pursuing more advanced capabilities. It will also help sales, service and dealer management teams keep pace with changing products, processes and customer expectations.

Every interaction at a dealership contributes to a customer’s experience with Ford. By providing employees with the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to perform their roles effectively, Ford Vietnam is strengthening the capabilities behind every showroom visit, service appointment and ownership interaction.

The opening of the Northern Learning Center was made possible through collaboration among teams across Ford Vietnam, the Hai Phong Assembly Plant, Ford’s dealer network, and regional and global colleagues.

More than a new facility, the center reflects a shared commitment to continuous learning. With a global-standard training network now operating across Vietnam, Ford is helping its people grow, preparing its dealer organization for future technologies and supporting a consistent customer experience nationwide.
