Ford MENA employees recently came together in Dubai to celebrate “Onam”, one of Kerala’s most anticipated annual festivals.
Observed over 10 days during the harvest season in late August and early September, Onam celebrates the homecoming of the legendary king Mahabali. The festival is an opportunity to celebrate community, gratitude and prosperity.
A highlight of the celebration was the traditional “Onam Sadhya”, a vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf. The meal includes a variety of dishes arranged in a specific order, reflecting the customs and care that make the occasion special.
The celebration also brought the vibrant colors of Onam to the workplace, with cream, gold and floral tones symbolizing joy, abundance and the harvest season.
It was a meaningful opportunity to learn more about the traditions of our colleagues and celebrate the diversity that makes our Ford MENA community stronger.
Happy Onam to everyone celebrating!
