VALENCIA, Spain – Production ground to a halt at Ford’s Almussafes facility in Valencia, Spain, earlier this month as the site hosted the annual Valencia Open House Family Day.
The industrial noise of the assembly lines gave way to the sound of laughter, the bounce of basketballs, and the rhythm of music as around 1,100 people - including employees, family, and friends – came together for an unforgettable day that combined sports, adventure, dream vehicles, and a deep spirit of solidarity.
The action was non-stop from early morning. Sports enthusiasts enjoyed a dynamic 3x3 basketball tournament, a cycling route around the plant's grounds, and a fiercely contested table tennis championship.
To beat the summer heat, the water area became the favourite gathering spot. Aqua-aerobics sessions and a massive pool offered a chance to cool off before enjoying the day's culinary highlight: a spectacular giant paella, cooked on-site, which brought all 1,100 attendees together around the table.
Children had a fantastic time in the kids' zone, featuring face painting, a magician’s amazing illusions, and fun karaoke and live music sessions. The day also featured some very special guests - local police with their patrol cars and the Ford fire brigade - giving the children a chance to climb aboard and get a close-up look at the vital safety work they do.

Automotive enthusiasts enjoyed a showcase of iconic modern vehicles - such as the Ford Bronco and the legendary Ford Mustang - as well as a magnificent exhibition of cars paying tribute to Ford’s heritage.
