Ford Thailand Racing Claims 5 Trophies at the Grueling Bangsaen Street Circuit

Jul 10, 2026

Ford Thailand Racing (FTR) delivered an impressive performance at the Thailand Super Series 2026, Rounds 4–5, held at the Bangsaen Street Circuit in Chonburi Province. Battling a demanding seaside track lined with tight, technical corners, the team brought home 5 trophies across the weekend.

Nearly 300 supporters — Ford employees, customers, and partners — turned out in a wave of Ford Blue, packing the barriers throughout the weekend to cheer the team on.

Sandy Kraokaew Stuvik, driving the No.3 Ford Ranger, was the standout performer of the weekend, standing on the podium both days for a total of 4 trophies. In Round 4, a qualifying issue left him starting from 27th, made tougher by a wet, slippery track after heavy morning rain. Undeterred, Sandy worked his way steadily through the field, showing off the Ford Ranger's grip and cornering ability to climb 25 positions, taking the Class A win and finishing 2nd Overall. In Round 5, starting from 4th on the grid, he kept his momentum going, adding 2nd in Class A and 2nd Overall to his weekend tally.

Kantadhee ‘Boom’ Kusiri, in the No.18 Ford Ranger, had a strong start to Round 4, qualifying on pole and leading the race from start to finish despite carrying 90 kilograms of mandatory ballast. He also posted the fastest lap of the race at 2:05.483, drawing praise from fans and competitors alike. Unfortunately, a combustion-system issue linked to the cold, humid morning conditions led to a time penalty, dropping him to 6th in Class A and 8th Overall. In Round 5, after starting from 8th on the grid, Boom was caught up in an on-track incident 8 laps in, which brought the race to an early stop due to track repairs. He still managed to finish 4th in Class A.

Thanaphon ‘Best’ Chucharoenpon, driving the No.15 Ford Ranger, faced an early setback in Round 4 following a qualifying accident that left him starting from 22nd. Thanks to quick, collaborative efforts from the race car development team and technicians, the truck was repaired and race-ready in time. Best made the most of it, overtaking 10 competitors in just 3 laps to move up to 12th, before contact with another car and a slick surface sent him into the wall, ending his race early. In Round 5, Best again showed strong pace, gaining 15 positions before the race was stopped, finishing 9th in Class A.

It was a weekend that showcased the best of FTR — determination, teamwork, and a strong result to show for it. With 5 trophies earned across a challenging circuit, and hundreds of supporters cheering from the sidelines, the Bangsaen round was a proud moment for the whole Ford family.
