The Visa CashApp Racing Bulls pair of Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad finished in sixth and seventh respectfully. Ford Racing hosted a special watch party for the British GP, taking over a central London venue for fans to follow the race.
The Wren Tavern, in the shadow of St Paul’s Cathedral in central London was transformed into ‘The Bull and Piston’. The exterior fully taken over in Ford Racing blue, with a Mustang Darkhorse and ORBR F1 car parked outside; whilst the pub’s interior was decorated with over 200 images of 125 years of Ford’s racing exploits. The guests were treated to a VIP F1 experience with F1-related activities such as sim-racing, reaction challenges and shuffle’Ford’.
Ford invited employees, content producers and media to the event which was a sell-out success.
“It’s fantastic to see so many F1 fans come together and experience the thrill of the race at this venue,” said event co-organiser Charlie Bristow. “They were queuing around the corner to get in, and the feedback we’ve received has been overwhelmingly positive.”
“Shame about the result, the pub went very silent when Max crashed out, but otherwise it was a great success, and we will be looking to replicate these watch parties in other markets in the future.”
Next up on the calendar is the Belgian Grand Prix at the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit on July 19.
