IMG Teams Earn Global and Regional Recognition at the 2025 President’s Health and Safety Awards

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our amazing teams and colleagues who have taken home top honors this year from the 2025 President’s Health and Safety Awards!

From pioneering digital safety solutions and driving high-impact engagement, to maintaining perfect safety records and executing life-saving emergency responses, these awards highlight the dedication of our people across the International Markets Group (IMG).

Here is a closer look at our outstanding global and regional winners:

Global Award Winner (Innovation Category): IMG VME - Final Assembly Team

The IMG VME - Final Assembly Team won the Global Award for their groundbreaking project, “Transforming VME Shutdown Project Safety with Real-Time Digital Platform.”

This project represents a major culture shift in how safety is managed, monitored, and governed during critical shutdown periods. By leveraging a real-time digital platform to drive transparency and accountability, the team achieved outstanding results:

  • Zero recordable injuries across the entire shutdown
  • 66% reduction in Unsafe Actions & Conditions compared to previous cycles
  • 100% Real-Time visibility for everyone, everywhere

Global Award Winner (Recognition & Engagement Category): the IMG Safety team

Also achieving global recognition is Wasikant Chainit from the IMG Safety team for her project, “Safety Influencer: Amplifying Safety Through Peer-to-Peer Engagement.”

Through this initiative, Wasikant successfully inspired and encouraged employees across all IMG plants to share safety tips on social media. By leveraging peer-to-peer engagement, she has helped foster a highly collaborative, active, and vocal safety culture across our entire region.

Ockert has been recognized as an outstanding individual leader who has made a significant, lasting impact on our company’s health and safety performance, fostering a deeply rooted safety culture within our operations.

Prabakar S (GTBC, Chennai)

Prabakar, Regional Safety Manager –India & South Africa, has been named Health & Safety Professional of the Year, recognized for his outstanding achievements and dedication to the field of occupational health and safety.

o   Driving Food Safety Culture Through Employee Engagement (GTBC (Chennai)

Excellence in Health category:

o   Healthy Together: Virtual Run Challenge (AutoAlliance Thailand - AAT)

Excellence in Industrial Hygiene category:

o   Engineering Noise Reduction Solution for Central Coolant System (Struandale Engine)

Life Saving Award

Nothing is more important than the health and well-being of our Ford family. We honor the quick thinking, training, and actions of our medical and emergency response teams who made a significant contribution this past year:

1.     Ford Thailand Manufacturing (FTM)

 A Nurse and the ERT responded to an employee experiencing a severe allergic reaction. They provided transport, which led to the employees’ successful stabilization.

2.     AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT)

A medical team quickly assessed an employee with stroke-like symptoms, provided initial care, and facilitated hospital transfer which prevented long-term

consequences.

3.     AutoAlliance Thailand (AAT)

The medical team and ERT responded to an employee suffering from severe hypoglycemia. Providing immediate on-site care and facilitating a rapid hospital transfer ensured the employee received successful, life-saving treatment.
