Ford Racing ‘Here to Win’ at the 54th ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring

May 13, 2026

COLOGNE, Germany - Following a strong class victory there last year, Ford Racing is returning to the Nürburgring this weekend for the 54th ADAC RAVENOL 24h Race.

Ford, in partnership with the Haupt Racing Team (HRT), will race three factory-supported Mustang GT3s at the legendary circuit also known as the "Green Hell".

In the Pro class, Nordschleife experts such as Frank Stippler, Christopher Mies, and Fred Vervisch will be in action, supported by talents like David Schumacher and Arjun Maini. A third Mustang will compete in the Pro-Am class to defend the title won there last year.

The team arrives in the Eifel region with immense confidence, following a month of historic records in April. The Ford GT Mk IV secured the title as the fastest vehicle from a US manufacturer and the fastest internal combustion engine (ICE) car ever to lap the Nordschleife, with a time of 6:15.977. Shortly after, the Mustang GTD Competition set a new benchmark for American street-legal vehicles with a lap of 6:40.835.

For Ford, competing at the Nürburgring is about much more than just motorsport; the insights gained from racing flow directly into series production. Alex Allmandinger, Ford Racing Global Sports Car Manager, explains: “The Nürburgring has long been a testing ground for Ford, where both our production vehicles and our race cars are tested at the highest level. There is a clear connection between the Mustang GTD and the Mustang GT3, and the development of the Evo package for the GT3 as well as the GTD Competition has further strengthened this connection. What we learn on the track flows directly into the products you can buy for the road.”

The focus for the upcoming race weekend is firmly on success. Allmandinger adds: “The record runs with the GTD Competition and the GT Mk IV, as well as the 2025 class victory, have shown that we know what it takes to conquer the Green Hell. We will compete this year with three vehicles from HRT Ford Racing. In case we haven't made it clear yet: Ford Racing is here to win.”

There is also plenty on offer for fans at the track. At the Ford Racing Camp, located between the Antoniusbuche and Tiergarten sections, guests can follow the racing action live. Ford fans who want to experience the Ford Mustang GTD up close are also very welcome to visit the camp.
