Shanghai, China, April 20, 2026 — Today, Ford China once again joined forces with the travel platform "Qunar" to unveil the 2026 China Adventure Routes. A comprehensive upgrade of the China Adventure Routes program launched by the two parties last year, the new initiative reflects a systematic evolution built on deep insights into traveler behavior, market feedback, and emerging travel trends. It is designed to make every adventure more closely aligned with what users truly aspire to, while continuing to lead the way in outdoor exploration.

Guided by the brand proposition “Ready Set Ford”the 2026 Ford China Adventure Routes have been comprehensively optimized to deliver a more convenient, immersive, and seamless full-scenario outdoor adventure experience for Chinese consumers.

The four new routes for 2026 have been designed with major holiday travel and are centered around four highly popular destinations. The routes also align more precisely with the four tiers of Ford’s adventure vehicle lineup — Racing-Grade Wild, Hardcore Wild, Exploration Wild, and Leisure Wild — showcasing the full range of products, from the Ford F-150 Raptor and Ford Bronco to the Ford Explorer and Ford Edge L, and meeting a wide spectrum of needs from extreme expeditions to family leisure travel.

Racing-Grade Wild — Hoh Xil Route

Over 7 days and 6 nights, travelers will drive across high-altitude roads and a succession of dramatic landscapes, measuring the wilderness mile by mile. The route includes Chaka Salt Lake, the Kunlun hinterland, the Mars-like red cliffs of Dachaidan, and the cliff-lined shores of Qinghai Lake, offering the chance to share a starlit horizon with Tibetan antelope. The itinerary also features the rainbow Danxia off-road terrain made famous in the film Pegasus, creating a true race-grade wilderness challenge that brings peak vehicle capability to life.

Hardcore Wild — Inner Mongolia Route

This 5-day, 4-night journey ventures deep into the Huitengxile Grassland and the heart of the Kubuqi Desert, unlocking Ford’s all-terrain capability in full. Along the way, travelers will cross the Ulan Hada Volcanoes and walk across black volcanic rock formations; encounter alpine meadows and ride across the grasslands on horseback; head into Yinken Tala for desert dune driving; and spend the night in a traditional Mongolian yurt under a sky full of stars. It is a single journey that conquers grassland, volcano, and desert terrain all at once.

Exploration Wild — Xinjiang Route

This 6-day itinerary crosses mountains and valleys along the Ili Grand Loop. Highlights include Sayram Lake and the Guozigou Bridge, while the route also traverses the Ili valley floor and the Zhaosu wetlands, with an in-depth off-road driving experience along the Yisai pastoral trail. From June through August, travelers can also enjoy the seasonal spectacle of “Heavenly Horses Bathing in the River” at Zhaosu Wetland Park, blending grassland exploration with one of nature’s most striking summer-only wonders.

Leisure Wild — Yunnan Route

This 6-day journey follows the Nujiang River and explores ancient villages in the Yunling region. Traveling north along the Nujiang Grand Canyon, guests can take in the breathtaking scenery of what is known as China’s most beautiful canyon highway, and admire the stunning landscape of Bingzhongluo, often described as a place where humans and nature live in harmony. The route also includes two special bonus experiences — a mountain via ferrata and a light trek in the Yaping area of the Gaoligong Mountains — responding to young travelers’ growing enthusiasm for immersive, hands-on experiences and bringing a fresh sense of adventure to the journey.
