Ford Signature 2.0: Modernising European Dealerships to Drive Productivity

Apr 01, 2026

DUNTON, UK – Ford is launching its new Ford Signature 2.0 retail experience across Europe, teaming up with five key dealer partners to transform facilities into modern productivity hubs. This global dealer initiative is designed to significantly improve the customer experience and present Ford’s products and services in the best possible way.

The rollout started in March with the first pilot launching in Bordeaux, France, followed by further pilot launches in Germany, Italy, Spain, and the UK. While Ford Signature 2.0 is a global standard, the European team has worked closely with Elena Ford and the Global Dealer Engagement team to tailor the initiative specifically towards Ford Pro and the unique needs of the European market.

“The introduction of Ford Signature 2.0 in Europe is a landmark moment in our retail transformation. These modernised facilities are designed for both our commercial and retail customers in mind, with productivity and hospitality at the heart to ensure a world-class experience,” said Ryan Baker, director, retail transformation, Europe

The European execution of Ford Signature 2.0 features a strategic dual focus tailored to the customer type. For commercial customers, the priority is productivity, ensuring maximum uptime to keep their businesses moving. For retail passenger vehicle customers, the experience is led by hospitality first, providing a premium and welcoming environment.

We developed our new retail experience to prioritise customer productivity and hospitality, making it a welcoming environment for every guest. It’s incredible to be at the first Ford Signature 2.0 facility in Europe, and I am excited for more customers to engage with our brand, our products and services as more dealerships open with the new design throughout the region.

For commercial users, Ford Signature 2.0 facilities function as all-in-one productivity hubs. These dealerships feature a dedicated Ford Pro focus, allowing SMEs - which make up 99 per cent of European businesses - to access the tools they need to boost their bottom line.

The aim is for every Ford Signature 2.0 site to include a “productivity wall” similar to those in FORDLiive Centres, displaying real-time vehicle uptime status and repair timelines, and customer satisfaction metrics. Behind the scenes, the modernisation includes optimised workshop layouts and tool locations designed for faster turnarounds, allowing dealers to allocate ramp time more efficiently.

“Every time a commercial customer’s van is off the road, it’s not delivering for their business,” adds Baker. . “By increasing the productivity of our dealer partners and adding additional service capacity, we are ensuring our facilities are organised entirely around our customers. Bringing our sales and aftersales teams closer together in daily operations allows us to deliver a truly seamless experience.”

This renewed focus on productivity and uptime also ‘pays back’ for our passenger vehicle customers. Retail guests will experience a high-tech, inviting showroom environment, but will also be reassured by Ford’s proactive approach to managing their ownership experience. By adopting the same rigorous uptime mindset used for commercial fleets, Ford ensures that every customer’s vehicle is serviced with maximum efficiency and care.

The Ford Signature 2.0 modernisation supports Ford Pro’s wider ecosystem of services, including:

  • Proactive Repairs: Technicians use vehicle data to diagnose issues before the van arrives, optimising scheduling and parts management.
  • Mobile Service: A "workshop in a van" capable of performing over 70 per cent of maintenance tasks at the customer’s location, saving time and travel costs.

Last year, Ford Pro Service systems prevented almost a million days of downtime across Europe. With van-powered companies contributing €1 trillion to the European economy, the transition to Ford Signature 2.0 facilities ensures that Ford dealers remain the ultimate partners in unlocking productivity for small businesses while providing a premier experience for every driver.

We look forward to the successful opening of our first pilot dealerships across these five key markets in the coming months. As we evaluate the impact of these modernised facilities on both customer satisfaction and dealer productivity, we will share more news on the broader European roll-out later in the year.
