Igniting a Love for Reading: The 2026 Rally to Read!

Watch as Ford South Africa takes to the road for the 2026 Rally to Read! This year, our convoy headed into the Eastern Cape to deliver more than just books, we delivered opportunity. Marking 28 years of partnership with the READ Educational Trust, Ford employees and volunteers mobilised to provide rural schools with the essential tools and teacher training needed to unlock every child's potential.

This mission is fuelled by our "cradle to vocation" philosophy, ensuring that strong educational foundations today lead to meaningful economic participation tomorrow. To bridge the gap, we’ve deployed three newly donated Ford Transits as well as custom-built mobile libraries, to carry literacy resources directly into the heart of remote rural communities. By looking beyond the statistics, we are witnessing a profound generational impact as young learners gain the confidence to read, unlocking their potential and shaping a brighter future for all of South Africa.
