DAGENHAM, UK – When Dagenham Transport Operations driver John Thurston was asked by his wife, who works for St Luke’s Hospice in Basildon, if Ford could help promote the charity, John didn’t hesitate.
John talked to his team about the possibilities of getting one of their transport trailers sign-written to help publicise the hospice. And, John’s colleague, Darryl Meyers, took on the challenge and liaised with the hospice and printers to develop suitable artwork.
Last week, almost a year since the initial conversations, St Luke’s Hospice were invited to the Dunton Campus for the TOPS team to unveil the finished trailer.
Darryl told @Ford: “Dagenham TOPs Ford employees are extremely proud to showcase the St Lukes Hospice charity, bringing even more awareness to the incredible work the team do.
“It is a charity close to our hearts as one of our driver’s wife was in there, and it is inspiring to see the tangible impact that the team there has on the community. It’s great to see Ford working closely with local charities showing continued support.”
