Ford Expands Community Center in Bangkok

Mar 18, 2026

In Bangkok, a familiar space is beginning a new chapter—one rooted in community, collaboration, and care.

On March 17, Ford Thailand and Ford Philanthropy celebrated the opening of the third building on the Ford Community Center campus. Thanks to the generosity of a local family, a former home has been transformed into a vibrant hub for the community—preserving its warmth and sense of belonging for everyone who walks through its doors.

Originally opened in 2019, the center has grown into a trusted space for connection. Today, as a “One Campus, Three Buildings,” the expanded community center campus now provides support for neighbors of every generation:

  • A library and after-school programs that spark curiosity in children
  • Career path camps and vocational training that help young people plan their futures
  • Wellness activities, digital literacy programs, and even moments of music and dance that keep elderly neighbors connected.

At the center of it all are Ford’s nonprofit partners—including Urban Studies Lab, Scholars of Sustenance, Love Wildlife, Creative Migration, Precious Plastic Bangkok, Sookaphawa Roadside, and the SATI Foundation—whose compassion and collaboration make this a truly welcoming place.

“Our partners are the heart and soul of this center,” said Mary Culler, President of Ford Philanthropy. “I’m so proud of how this campus has grown since 2019 and can’t wait to see what this next chapter holds.”

As Ford marks 30 years in Thailand in 2026, the expanded campus reflects a continued commitment to the communities where we live and work—and the belief that lasting impact is built through long-term partnerships.

Because long after the opening, it’s the people inside who bring a place like this to life and shape what comes next.
