Ford Philanthropy and Ford Vietnam Support Flood Recovery Efforts in Central Vietnam

Feb 22, 2026

In the Central parts of Vietnam, storms and flooding can change lives overnight—damaging homes, disrupting incomes and cutting off access to necessities. Through Ford Philanthropy and Ford Vietnam, Ford is supporting community-led relief efforts that prioritize rapid, safe delivery of essential food support to families when they need it most.

Partnering with Food Bank Vietnam (The Vietnam Food Banking Network) and coordinating closely with local authorities, the program is set to provide 500 household support packages, reaching an estimated 2,000 people across flood-affected areas. The plan includes both emergency food and practical recovery support, alongside Tet-season gifts designed to help families regain stability and start the new year with greater peace of mind.

To help ensure aid reaches the right households transparently, distributions are organized with verified beneficiary lists, on-site documentation, and community oversight. This effort also creates opportunities for Ford employees and dealers to get involved, from packing goods and logistics support to volunteering during distribution.

This is what CSR looks like on the ground: listening first, moving fast, and showing up with partners who know the community best.
