DUNTON, UK – Ford was the most popular electric passenger vehicle brand in the UK last month, according to latest industry data.
Puma Gen-E sealed top spot with 1,254 registrations – 197 more than Vauxhall’s Frontera in second place - while Explorer was tenth with 654 registrations.
Puma Gen-E’s popularity will be enhanced even further this year when it becomes available with BlueCruise, giving thousands more customers access to “hands-off, eyes-on” highway driving.
Data published by the Society of Motoring Manufacturers and Traders, shows that 29,694 all-electric passenger vehicles were registered in the UK in January, up 0.6 percent compared with January 2025.
Petrol cars remained the most popular choice for passenger vehicles with a market share of 47.7 per cent, followed by Full-Electric (20.6 per cent), Hybrids (13.4 per cent) and Plug-In Hybrids (12.9 per cent). Diesel car registrations accounted for 5.5 per cent of total market share in January.
