Nov 02, 2026

Hai Phong, 29 October 2026: Ford Vietnam welcomed H.E. Madam Jennifer Wicks McNamara, U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam, to its Hai Phong plant. The visit, part of her working program in the city, underscored the role of American enterprises in the U.S.-Vietnam economic partnership and the deepening cooperation between the Embassy and Ford Vietnam.

The Ambassador was accompanied by her spouse, Mr. George McNamara, Economic Counselor Ben Embury and Embassy colleagues. A Hai Phong External Affairs Department representative attended.

Ford Vietnam values its productive cooperation with the U.S. Embassy. We are grateful for our mutual support in advancing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the United States and Vietnam. The Embassy has been a trusted bridge, helping Ford Vietnam strengthen its relationships with government counterparts and local authorities.
Mrs. Analiese Atina
Managing Director of Ford Vietnam

During a meeting with representatives from the leadership of Ford Vietnam, the Ambassador expressed her support for U.S. businesses in Vietnam: "My focus here as Ambassador is advocating for U.S. businesses, rebalancing trade and growing economic opportunity. It is very compelling to see first-hand what it takes to produce something as complicated as a vehicle. Many thanks for that tour and for allowing us to be in your plant."

Ford reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable mobility, green manufacturing and technology transfer, and will keep investing in Vietnam and the community.
