We Built the New Mustang Mach-E Trail for the Drive to Adventure

Oct 22, 2026

The best outdoor experiences often begin with the road that gets you there. It might be a gravel road to the trailhead, a dirt road to the campsite, or one last stretch before reaching the water.

The new 2027 Mustang Mach-E Trail is designed for those drives and the experiences waiting at the destination.

We created Mustang Mach-E Trail in response to customers who wanted an electric vehicle that could support an active lifestyle and provide added confidence on the gravel and dirt roads leading to their favorite places. It combines the everyday electric performance and usability of Mustang Mach-E with purpose-designed hardware for the road to the trailhead, campsite, or water.

Designed for the Way There

Available as a $2,295 package for Mustang Mach-E Select eAWD, Mustang Mach-E Trail includes the following features:

  • Built for the drive there: Specially tuned suspension with passive front and rear struts and springs raises the ride height. Steering rack, 19-inch High-Gloss Dark Carbonized Gray wheels with as-cast graphics and 235/55 R19 Michelin CrossClimate® 2 tires, all shared with Mustang Mach-E Rally.
  • Ready at the destination: Pro Power Onboard has outlets in the cargo area and at the rear of the center console. It can charge devices or run a paddleboard pump, camp lights, a fan, or a bike tire pump.
  • Easy to outfit: A Thule® Clamp On Cross Bar Kit, available on the Ford Accessories site, carries bikes, kayaks, and gear boxes. An optional Interior Protection Package adds all-weather floor mats and a cargo-area protector. Customers can order it with the vehicle or buy it separately.

“It's built for all-season, off-pavement excursions, so customers headed to a trailhead, a campsite, or everyday driving through changing weather get real added confidence,” said Nick Rallis, lead Mustang Mach-E vehicle integration engineer at Ford.
