Ford Vietnam Rolls Out Global Caring Month 2026, Working Together to Deliver Tangible Benefits for Communities

Oct 19, 2026

Hanoi, Vietnam, October 2, 2026 – Ford Vietnam is once again taking part in Global Caring Month 2026, bringing together employees, dealers, clubs, NGO partners and local communities to support people across Vietnam. Together, Ford and its partners are helping improve learning and living conditions and meet essential local needs.

Supporting Communities Worldwide and in Vietnam

Every September, Ford holds Global Caring Month in more than 30 countries, including Vietnam. For more than 20 years, Ford has provided funding and time for employees to initiate community projects. The program records more than 4,000 employee volunteer engagements worldwide each year. Over the past two decades, it has recorded approximately 80,000 employee volunteer engagements and more than one million volunteer hours, supporting education, food packing and the preparation of relief supplies to meet practical needs in the communities where employees live and work.

In Vietnam, Global Caring Month 2026 continues to focus on Ford's four community pillars: Essential Needs, Education, Sustainable Livelihoods, and Mobility & Connectivity. Projects across multiple locations aim to improve learning and living conditions and access to essential resources for local communities.

This year, Ford Vietnam carried out four community projects involving nearly 200 employees and volunteers, with contributions totaling 1,000 volunteer hours and more than VND 1 billion. The projects supported approximately 1,700 people, focusing on education, improved living conditions, recreation and essential community needs.

Through the Happy School initiatives at Quang Trung Secondary School in Hai Phong and Quy Hoa Primary and Secondary School in Phu Tho, Ford Vietnam worked with NGO partners and volunteers to refurbish facilities, upgrade classrooms and libraries, provide technology equipment and digital skills training, and expand recreational and sports spaces for students.

Improving living conditions and safety for residents of Floating Village along the Red River was another focus of Global Caring Month 2026. Ford volunteers worked with an NGO partner and local residents to install a new floating house and a pontoon bridge, helping provide greater stability, safety and improved living space for the community. The project also included waste clean-up, tree planting and the installation of a children's playground to create a safer, more welcoming shared environment.

During Global Caring Month 2026, Ford volunteers joined NGO, dealer and club partners to organize a Mid-Autumn Festival celebration for the ethnic minority community in It Thai Village, Khau Pha, Lao Cai. The celebration coincided with the handover of a community house, part of a project launched in 2024. Vehicles crossed mountain passes to deliver fire extinguishers, first-aid cabinets, tables and chairs, and solar-powered lighting for the road into the village, making the celebration even more meaningful.

Connecting Resources to Create Lasting Value

Alongside employee-led initiatives, Ford Vietnam's entire dealer network partnered with Food Bank Vietnam, an NGO, and local partners and volunteers in September to run Food Drive 2026. The initiative brings together resources from different partners to deliver food to communities in need.

Launched in Ninh Binh on September 24, Food Drive 2026 collected more than 3.5 metric tons of food. Of this, more than one metric ton was delivered directly to Thanh An Bui Chu Orphanage, and 2.4 metric tons were handed over to the Ninh Binh Red Cross for further distribution. The program is continuing in Son La, Hanoi, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, with approximately 21.3 metric tons of food collected and distributed in September and October.

The program is also part of the Global Dealer Food Drive, launched by Ford in the past two years with the participation of thousands of Ford dealers worldwide. Through the campaign, dealers collect dry goods and canned food to support frontline food pantries and relief organizations serving communities in need.

Through this initiative, Ford contributes its own resources while helping connect resources from across society with communities in need. The involvement of dealers, partners and local communities helps mobilize additional resources and coordinate support locally.

This reflects the spirit of Ford Building Together and Ford's commitment to working with social organizations, partners and clubs beyond Global Caring Month to create lasting positive impact.

Beyond Global Caring Month, Ford Vietnam continues its community support while engaging more employees, dealers, partners and social organizations, helping initiatives reach more people and strengthening support for local communities.
