Recently, Ford officially opened a new Parts Return Center (PRC), relocating operations from its previous off-site location to a new facility situated between FTM and VoCF.
The PRC receives and inspects warranty replacement parts from Thailand and several markets across the region, including New Zealand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines. The facility supports analysis, testing and investigation of parts to help identify potential concerns, understand their root causes and monitor quality-related trends over time.
The new center brings together teams responsible for Claims Binning, Problem object definition, parts testing and return-part processing under one roof, along with engine and transmission teardown capabilities. Its location near FTM also provides Manufacturing, Product Development (PD), Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) and Supplier Technical Assistance (STA) teams with easier access to returned parts and testing results, supporting closer collaboration and faster investigations.
