Ford Puma Tops UK Sales Chart for Third Successive Year

DUNTON, UK – Ford’s award-winning Puma was the best-selling passenger vehicle in the UK in 2025, according to statistics released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

Puma, which was also number one in 2023 and 2024, saw 55,488 vehicles registered in the UK last year – that’s 7,700 more than the next best-selling passenger vehicle, Kia Sportage.

In total, Ford sold 118,998 passenger vehicles in the UK in 2025, up 8.22 per cent compared with 2024.

Overall, the UK new car market recorded its third successive year of growth with 2,020,520 new cars reaching the road in 2025 – a rise of 3.4 per cent on the previous year,

For 2025, Puma’s appeal was broadened with the introduction of the fully electric Puma Gen-E – the first Puma to deliver zero-tailpipe emission driving. This year, both Puma and Puma Gen-E will for the first time be available with of BlueCruise, giving thousands more customers access to “hands-off, eyes-on” highway driving.

Designed and built in Europe, Puma and Puma Gen-E are manufactured at Ford Otosan’s state-of-the-art Craiova Assembly Plant in Romania.
