Ford Vietnam proudly celebrated its 30th anniversary in Hanoi, marking three decades of growth, investment, and strong relationships with employees, dealers, customers, and communities. The event brought together Ford global and regional leaders, dealer partners, employees from the Hai Duong plant, loyal customers, and representatives from the Vietnamese government, creating a moment not only to honor history but also to look forward with confidence.
Since becoming the first American automaker to invest in Vietnam in 1995, Ford has contributed more than $200 million to the country, expanded the Hai Duong assembly plant, and built a nationwide dealer network. Reflecting on this journey, Ruchik Shah, Managing Director of Ford Vietnam, shared: “Three decades of growth and commitment — to Vietnam, our employees, our customers, our dealers, our communities. Today is a celebration of all that has come before us and a showcase of the best that is still to come. The history that really matters is the history we are making today.” His words captured the spirit of the celebration – a recognition that Ford’s legacy in Vietnam is built together with the people and communities it serves.
At the heart of this success is the Hai Duong plant, home to more than 1,200 employees and a symbol of Ford’s long-term commitment. Speaking with pride, Andrea Cavallaro, Operations Director of Ford International Markets Group, noted: “What makes our plant special – what gives it heart and soul – are the twelve hundred people who come there every day to work! I am so proud of our team. And what I love most about them is their spirit and passion for success.” The applause from employees in attendance reflected the pride and dedication that continue to drive Ford forward.
