
PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA - Vehicle personalisation is a commonplace in South Africa as owners customise their cars, bakkies and sport utility vehicles to suit their individual style as well as their practical and lifestyle needs. To satisfy the growing demand for top-quality accessories on its vehicles, Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa (Manufacturing) (Pty) Ltd (“Ford South Africa”) is introducing eye-catching accessory packs for two of its popular models – the Everest Sport and the Ranger XLT.
“The accessory market is huge, allowing customers to personalise their vehicles according to their unique styling and lifestyle requirements. We have introduced styling accessory packs to enable Everest Sport and Ranger XLT customers to give their vehicles an even bolder appearance while guaranteeing the highest level of quality and performance to match the proven capabilities of the vehicles themselves,” says Sunil Sewmohan, Executive Director, Product Marketing, at Ford South Africa.
The styling packs comprise Genuine Ford Accessories and official Ford Licensed Accessories that are designed and tested to the same standards as Ford’s original equipment parts. They will be available from the second half of August as dealer fitment options prior to the delivery of a new vehicle. The accessory pack ordered and fitted with the new vehicle purchase will be covered by Ford’s four-year/120 000km new vehicle warranty.
Customers that already own a current-generation Everest Sport or Ranger XLT, or purchase a second-hand vehicle of the same derivative, can also have the accessories fitted by their Ford dealer – in which case the parts are covered by Ford’s over-the-counter two-year/unlimited distance parts warranty.
“The tailored accessory packs give Everest and Ranger customers a one-stop solution for their accessory needs, as well as the reassurance of Ford quality in the parts that are fitted as well as the workmanship of our specially trained Ford dealer staff,” Sewmohan says. “Furthermore, combining these items makes it more affordable than if they were added individually, ensuring even better value for our customers.”
