How Plastic Bottle Tops are Boosting Mobility for Disabled People in France

Aug 04, 2025

PARIS, France – For almost two decades, Ford France has supported a unique and powerful initiative by collecting plastic bottle tops to help people with disabilities.

This year, that commitment has been further strengthened through a dedicated partnership with Coeur2Bouchons, a non-profit charity that sells plastic bottle tops and uses the funds to buy essential equipment for those in need.

The collaboration recently received a boost when around 20 dedicated Ford France employees grabbed gloves and took part in a special bottle top sorting session during their lunch hour. Together, the meticulously sorted through bags of plastic caps, making the processing process much simpler for Coeur2Bouchons.

All funds raised from the sale of bottle tops are put to good causes such as adapting homes to improve accessibility and mobility, as well as modifying vehicles to meet driving and transport needs for people with disabilities.

“Our teams’ dedication to this cause truly embodies Ford's values,” says Marie-Laure Noppe. “Seeing our people come together to sort these bottle tops, knowing the direct positive impact this has on disabled people, is incredibly rewarding. It reinforces our belief that collective action can lead to significant change.”
