DUNTON, UK – Ford has become the first manufacturer to secure the UK Government’s full £3,750 electric vehicle grant, awarded in recognition of its strong and proven sustainability performance.
The decision makes the Puma Gen-E, the electric version of the UK’s best-selling car, more accessible than ever. On 48-month Ford Options, the Puma Gen-E Select is available from just £290 a month - cheaper than its petrol equivalent (£324).
Ford’s E-Tourneo Courier also received the full grant. Customers can benefit directly from these savings through Ford dealers from today, with no additional paperwork required.
On top of the grant, the Ford Power Promise adds further support: a free wall charger worth £899, five years of free servicing and roadside assistance, and up to 10,000 miles of complimentary charging – giving the average driver more than a year of energy on the road at no cost.
Add in lower running costs such as savings on fuel, and the average driver could save £127 a month compared to a Puma ST-Line Petrol Manual.
“We welcome the government’s decision to accelerate the transition to electric mobility and are proud that Ford’s commitment to sustainability has been recognised with the full EV grant,” said Lisa Brankin, Ford UK Chair and Managing Director. “With a £3,750 saving available on the Puma Gen-E plus the convenience of the Ford Power Promise, we’re helping to make the switch to electric simpler, more affordable and more rewarding.”
