Last month, Ford Thailand invited a select group of automotive and business media on an immersive media drive to showcase the full Ford Ranger 4x4 family - Ranger Raptor 3.0L Twin-Turbocharged V6, Ranger Raptor 2.0L Bi-Turbo, Ranger Wildtrak3.0L V6 Turbo, Ranger Stormtrak, and Ranger Sport 4x4. The experience underlined Ford's leadership in the 4x4 pickup segment, demonstrating a broad model range suited to diverse lifestyles, equipped with advanced technology that caters to both urban driving and off-road adventures.
During the trip, the media had a chance to test drive on road, testing intelligent driver assistance such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Hill Descent Control and various driving modes that offer superior performance on rugged terrain, along with a 360-degree camera that increases confidence when driving on challenging natural paths.
What made the trip meaningful beyond performance numbers was how we demonstrated Ranger’s real-world versatility. At Ban Phu Rakam, a remote wildlife sanctuary community lacking basic utilities – the team used the Ranger's tailgate workbench feature with built-in clamps and measuring tools to carry out practical repairs and upgrades to helped improve community infrastructure. We also donated solar panels and essential supplies to border patrol wildlife officers. That hands-on moment crystallized our design intent: Ranger is built for work, family and play – and it can deliver value where it’s needed most.
