The 8th session of the 2025 ForDR Program, a disaster prevention training initiative for Ford owners and community residents, was successfully held in Qingdao. Over 40 participants gathered at Changan Ford Qingdao Liuhe Showroom to learn disaster preparedness knowledge, improve safety awareness, and receive training certificates jointly issued by the China Association for Disaster Prevention and Ford China.

The training session was conducted by professional team of the Qingdao Red Cross Tongchen Rescue Center. based on their extensive experience in disaster response and traffic accident solving, the instructors shared practical emergency handling methods and safety precautions tailored to the local daily life, such as vehicle submersion and beachside stuck-vehicle rescues. Through real-case analysis, step-by-step demonstrations, and hands-on practice, participants mastered critical first-aid skills, including CPR and wound bandaging.

Since the launch in May 2025, ForDR has been successfully held in six cities—Hefei, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Beijing, Zhengzhou, and Qingdao—training nearly 300 Ford owners and community members, with overwhelmingly positive feedback. The ForDR Alliance, which laying the groundwork for a collaborative platform connecting Ford owners, employees and rescue organizations, has rapidly expanded in two months with over 100 Ford owners and employees joint in. Also three "ForDR Alliance Emergency Support Station" have been established in partnership with Ford dealers to provide vehicles and service support for rescue teams. ForDR is guided by the only comprehensive disaster prevention NGO in China, the China Association for Disaster Prevention will continue offering professional oversight and support.

Funded by Ford Philanthropy, the ForDR Program aims to strengthen public disaster response and empower Ford owners and local communities as key grassroots responders. In July, the program will expand to Nanchang, Tangshan, Chongqing, and Chengdu, providing training sessions ahead of the peak summer travel season for local Ford owners and residents.
