Meet on the Move: Zoom App Comes to Ford, Lincoln Digital Experience

To enhance Ford and Lincoln customers’ time inside the vehicle, Ford is launching the Zoom app, built and customized specifically for vehicles in the U.S. equipped with the all-new Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience. With the new digital cabin, customers can bring along everything they love about their digital life, including their favorite apps to be entertained, unwind, or to stay productive on the go – all without a smartphone.  

The Zoom Meeting experience customers know and love is now optimized for equipped Ford and Lincoln vehicles through an embedded app, creating the ultimate mobile productivity space. It is ideal for catching up with friends and family, jumping into a work meeting, while waiting for the kids to finish practice or collaborating with a school group.  

Our team worked closely with Zoom to build and customize the app so that it works seamlessly with the Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience. We leveraged the strengths of both groups: Ford’s automotive leadership in bringing the user interface to life, and Zoom’s expertise with integrating trusted collaboration tools.  

This experience is unique because it offers an immersive experience since it is built directly into the vehicle, which is different from using smartphone projection. While parked, customers can view the Zoom Meeting on the center display, including upcoming meetings, participants’ video or shared content. Plus, when on the go, customers can transfer live meetings effortlessly between devices with one tap when entering the vehicle. They can also join meetings with audio access while driving. 

The Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience allows customers to easily use voice assistance for hands-free help from Google Assistant, real-time directions with Google Maps, and the ability to download their favorite apps from the Google Play Store. It is also designed to improve over time, enhancing experiences for customers and their family and friends inside the vehicle.  

Customers will have access to new features and services via available software updates, as well as new apps unique to Ford and Lincoln owners, like the Zoom app available through Google Play. For customers to unlock the best possible experience for the Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience, they will need to activate a Connectivity plan*, such as the Ford Connectivity Package in the 2025 Ford Expedition.

The Zoom app is available to download now on the 2025 Ford Expedition, 2025 Ford Explorer, 2025 Lincoln Aviator, 2024/2025 Lincoln Nautilus, and 2025 Lincoln Navigator.

How to Use the Zoom App:  

1. Make sure you have a compatible Ford or Lincoln vehicle with the Digital Experience and that you have a Connectivity plan activated: 
   • Ford: 2025 Expedition, 2025 Explorer
   • Lincoln: 2025 Aviator, 2025 Navigator, or 2024/2025 Nautilus
2. To access Zoom, navigate to the Google Play store on your vehicle’s center display.    
3. From there, go to the Featured by Ford/Lincoln section and download the Zoom app to start joining meetings seamlessly from your vehicle.  
4. While driving, enable audio access to seamlessly join Zoom meetings.  
5. While parked, use the center display to view the video feed of participants, shared content, and meeting schedule. 

* Some Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience features require a Connected Services plan. Don’t drive while distracted or while using handheld devices. Use voice-operated systems when possible. Some features may be locked out while the vehicle is in gear. Not all features are compatible with all phones.
