OSLO, Norway – More and more Ford customers in Norway are taking advantage of Ford Mobile Servicing. In fact, so far this year alone, demand has increased by more than 30 per cent.
“This is the way of the future when it comes to customer- and productivity-friendly car service,” says Ford's service marketing director Hans Petter Tveten.
“Even though we are one of the leaders in mobile service for commercial vehicles and passenger cars in Norway, we are still in the early stages. Today, it accounts for three per cent of our workshop visits. Our goal is 10 per cent and we think that will happen quickly, perhaps as early as this year.”
In the first quarter of 2024, Ford carried out 824 “home visits” in Norway, but this increased to 1,100 in the same period this year, a growth of 33 per cent.
In Norway, Ford currently operates a fleet of 30 specially designed service vehicles that come to customers' homes, workplaces or other locations of their choice. The service program applies to all Ford models - whether they are passenger cars, commercial vehicles, electric, plug-in hybrid or conventional powertrains. Normally it doesn’t cost anything extra compared to a traditional workshop visit.
