The MadRing circuit boasts 22 corners and is designed as a technical and fast track, with particularly complex sections. One of them will be La Monumental, the future iconic and longest curve in the entire Formula 1 World Championship, which Sainz has already explored in his off-road version.
“I was lucky enough to have the Ford Raptor, which today is the only vehicle that could drive around the Formula 1 circuit of Madrid for all the area that remains to be built. With this vehicle of Ford Performance and M-Sport we have been able to walk it. What I want is for MadRing to be a nice circuit, and for the drivers to have fun when they come to the Madrid Grand Prix," said Carlos.
He added: "It’s a pride, it’s a dream. I was lucky enough to live, as a child, the last race that took place in Madrid of Formula 1 and I will be lucky enough to enjoy this new edition on a different track. It is a success that Madrid has this race again and that Spain adds this new appointment. I am very happy.”
