The business, which was founded in 1934, employs 30 people and its Ford Pro vans cover an average of 15,000 kilometres a year.
Managing director Thomas Potthast has been with the company for 15 years. He explains: “For two years we have been using Ford Pro Telematics and the Telematics Drive App for our fleet management. Time is money and our vehicles need to be running. And, with Telematics, we have an overview; when is a service needed, when does a battery need replacing, when does a tank need to be filled, or add blue need to filled?”
He adds: “In the past we often had problems. With so many construction sites, we were not able to keep track of the boys. And now with Ford Pro Telematics, with one click of a button, it is possible. At the start, the employees were skeptical. Would they be spide on? But now they understand the advantages of the system. It saves time, they don’t have to look after the vehicles so much.”
