Dec 12, 2025

DUNTON, UK – Ford colleagues Chris Muers and Hazel Johnson both struck gold at this year’s Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards.

Chris, Ford Pro Vehicle Sales Director, was named Supplier OEM Woman of the Year, while Hazel, HWIM Change Management Program Lead at Ford, was named Supplier OEM Unsung Hero.

“It was an honour to be nominated and then great to win the award in this inaugural award ceremony,” Chris said; “The awards highlighted the amazing number of women that are instrumental to the success of the automotive sector and the fact that were four from Ford was fantastic. Let’s hope it is part of a continued trend.”

Winning the Supplier OEM Unsung Hero award at this prestigious evening, among such inspiring nominees and advocates, is an immense honour. I'm incredibly proud to be recognised, especially when my work is often behind the scenes. It's truly wonderful to see the vital contributions of women in engineering celebrated so prominently

In other good news for Ford, Alexandra Walker, PT FM Quality Manager, was Highly Commended in the Mentor of the Year category, and Hanna Everett, Ford Pro Service Strategy and Transformation Manager, was Highly Commended in the OEM Rising Star Awards.

Held at the prestigious Marriott Grosvenor Square, London, and hosted by Olympic legend Sally Gunnell OBE, the Motor Trader Women in Motor Industry Awards brought together leaders and trailblazers from across the UK automotive sector to celebrate the remarkable women and male allies driving the industry forward.

Created to spotlight the often-underrepresented female talent in the motor industry, this landmark awards ceremony honoured not only achievement, but also the resilience, innovation, and leadership shaping the automotive sector.
