DUNTON, UK – Ford Pro excelled at the Parkers Van Awards 2026, with the Transit Custom named Best Medium Van, Transit Courier taking the Best Small Van title, and Ranger Plug-In Hybrid collecting the Best Pickup trophy.
On awarding Transit Custom Best Medium Van, Parkers reports: “The Ford Transit Custom is king of the medium vans once again, and for myriad reasons. It really does offer a version for everybody. You can now choose between six different trims including the performance MS-RT model, four diesel engines, three different electric versions, a plug-in hybrid and multiple bodies. Among those is an innovative Multicab model that allows you to have two seats in the second row and a narrow section of full-length bulkhead.
“There’s more to come, too, with a high roof model on the way to join the two lengths already on offer as well as an all-wheel drive version. No other medium van offers the same breadth of variants.”
It’s the second year in a row Parkers has named Ford Transit Courier Best Small Van. Parkers notes: “The Ford Transit Courier took the top spot as Best Small Van last year and nothing else has come along in the meantime to make us change our mind. That’s because it mixes carrying capacity, interior tech and plain old driving fun better than any other small van can. There’s also a diverse model range that includes petrol, diesel and electric power options.
“Aside from a couple of car-based offerings, the Transit Courier is just about the smallest of small vans currently on the market. Yet its load bay has space for two Euro pallets, and the side door opening is big enough for one to be loaded through. You can stack things over 1.2 metres high in there, as well – this is a small van that can carry an awful lot of stuff.”
Ford Ranger is a serial winner of Parkers Awards. Taking top spot in the Best Pickup category this year is the all-new Ranger Plug-In Hybrid.
Parkers writes: “The Ford Ranger is a multiple winner of the Parkers Pickup of the Year award, but for 2026 we’ve elected to specifically highlight one particular variant: the Ford Ranger Plug-in Hybrid. That’s right, Ford’s built a pickup that mixes petrol and electric power – the first ever available in the UK – and the result is a triumph…. Any Ford Ranger is a great choice; but the PHEV is simply outstanding.”
