Ford Thailand and 51 Dealers Deliver 13+ Tons of Food – More Than 24,500 Meals Donated Through Global Food Drive

As part of the global project ‘Ford Food Drive’ – the world's largest auto dealer food drive. Ford Thailand joined forces with its dealer network across the country mobilizing to deliver more than 13 tons (29,415 pounds) of rice, drinking water and dried food to communities facing food shortages due to various local challenges to collectively create a greater positive global impact. The effort, led by 51 dealerships nationwide, is estimated to have provided over 24,500 meals. – based on Feeding America’s guideline that 1.2 pounds of donated food equals one meal.

Throughout the project’s donation period, Ford Thailand and its dealer network mobilized more than 13 tons of rice and food and delivered to the vulnerable groups of people in several communities in Thailand, some operations include:

  • Ford Ek, Rayong province, donated a total of 5 tons (approx. 11,023 pounds) of rice and worked with community leaders from Tap Ma Municipality and Choeng Noen Municipality in Rayong Province in distributing rice to those in need.
  • Ford Charoen Yontrakarn, Chiang Mai province, helped collect and donated 1,627 pounds of rice and dried food, as well as delivering them to the Thai Red Cross Society in Chiang Mai Province.
  • Ford RMA, Bangkok, distributed over 1,100 pounds of rice to disadvantaged people in the Khlong Toei community to help alleviate living costs and enhance food security.
  • Ford Tungjitnusorn, Nan province, donated over 440 pounds of rice along with dried food and drinking water, working with the province’s Chamber of Commerce and Ford customers to deliver donations to people in Pua District.
  • Ford American Motors, Chiang Mai province, partnered with the Rural Development Foundation to provide educational supplies and essential items to over 500 households in remote mountain villages, supporting education and assisting communities lacking resources.

The Ford Food Drive project reflects Ford's commitment to Caring for Each Other by working with local communities where Ford operates. It is part of the main initiative 'Ford Building Together,' which focuses on building and rebuilding communities, supporting non-profit organizations, and implementing projects emphasizing community development, education, food security, and disaster relief.
