Jürgen, who had worked at Ford as a precision mechanic in Niehl for a while and whose father, grandfather and uncle were Ford employees, explains: “We are now the third owner of the vehicle. It’s an old army vehicle with an engine mileage of so many hundreds of thousands of kilometers, that we don't even know if it's not already at a million.”

The Bronco was enthusiastically received, and the Ford team was eager to find out what state the vehicle was in. After a comprehensive inspection and a test drive the mechanics went to work and optimally prepared the Bronco for the rigours of a world tour.

While in Niehl, Alexandra and Jürgen also had the unique opportunity to experience first-hand how much the legendary Ford SUV has evolved over the decades. Bronco Product Manager Anna Bobrov had the initial idea to get Ford involved in the project and gave the couple a tour of the latest Ford Bronco, explaining its off-road capabilities and highlighting some of the design features. Furthermore, to ensure they were well-equipped for every challenge, the adventurers received suitable outfits from the stylish Ford Lifestyle Collection.

So, who are these modern-day explorers? Alexandra and Jürgen are professionals on a mission to demonstrate how mobile work can be successfully implemented in the most remote corners of the world. As part of their "MilesMeetsMoments" project they’re combining their marketing agency work with a nomadic lifestyle. Along the way, they will also be searching for and sharing the success stories of German entrepreneurs who have built a life for themselves abroad, creating a unique blend of adventure and business storytelling.

The official kick-off for this incredible world tour took place on September 29th in Cologne. The initial leg of their journey will take them through France and Portugal, before they reach Morocco. In total, Alexandra and Jürgen plan to traverse over 30 countries – proudly powered by Ford's Pilot Plant Cologne!
