The most grueling off-road challenge on the planet, Dakar Rally, has kicked off in Saudia Arabia, with Ford M-Sport fielding a four-vehicle effort of the ultimate Raptor, the T1+, in the Ultimate class.

A team of champion drivers has been arranged, consisting of reigning and four-time Dakar winner Carlos Sainz Sr., Matthias Ekström, Mitch Guthrie Jr., and Nani Roma, two-time winner returning from the 2024 Ranger T1 effort. -
Ekström took second place in the Prologue, with only one second separating him from the leader. -
Dakar continues until Jan. 17, with almost 8,000 kilometers (497 miles) covered through 12 stages of the harshest terrain and competition on the planet.
