Jun 13, 2024

COLOGNE, Germany – Ford’s Cologne EV Center has the capability to produce an Explorer every 54 seconds, so what does it take to make this state-of-the-art SUV? In this first of a series of five short videos, we take you inside the Body Shop where an army of 600 robots weld, cut, dust, paint, and fuse Explorer together.

As the video shows, inside the Body Shop robots perform a multitude of tasks from selecting, picking and placing parts, to moving large sheets of metal into the stamping machines.
