Mustang can be associated with passion, history and adrenaline, but also with the present and future. Since its launch in 1964, it has been adapted to the desires, needs and expectations of its most passionate fans. To commemorate this special moment, Ford of Mexico had different happenings around its facilities on April 17th.

At GTBC and through a national broadcast, Rick Harrison, known for his expertise in unique items and vehicles, shared stories he has experienced at The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop. He also had a Meet & Greet with our employees.

The star of the day was the first-generation Mustang, which was loaned by the Mustang Mexico Club, to be exhibited throughout the month in the lobby of the GTBC Mexico, and from this moment on, each month of the year the photo opportunity will have a different Mustang generation.

In Chihuahua and Irapuato, the plants were visited by the local Mustang clubs, which exhibited their Mustangs and talked with the employees about the anecdotes they have experienced in their pony cars. The employees of the Cuautitlan plant received a poster as a gift, had an exhibition of Mustangs and participated in their social networks with different dynamics.

Mustang did it once again and celebrated its 60th anniversary on top of one of the most iconic buildings in Mexico City, where we met with some Mustang clubs from different parts of Mexico, journalists, celebrities and influencers.

To make the night more memorable, this building has the largest screen in Latin America, so the 60th anniversary logo was projected, being visible to millions of people in the city.

Mustang has left a mark on popular culture over its 60 years. From its appearance in more than three thousand movies, to its presence in music and art, this iconic vehicle has been etched in the minds of generations; because when art merges with car lovers, amazing things happen.

That’s why we had a museography to explore the Mustang’s history and besides that, Ford of Mexico worked with artists to show the essence of our favorite Pony Car, from a special Mustang X RCNSTRCT jacket to hand-painted Nike Air Force 1 sneakers, the collaboration brought unique pieces to life.

Following this theme, the event's closing was led by the Mexican electropop band "Moenia" who delighted us with some of their top hits.
