Employees and other team members making the transition to our exciting electric vehicle lineup can save 20% on a Ford-branded home charger. The Ford Connected Charge Station and Ford Charge Station Pro are both available at a discounted rate for employees and retirees through March 31.

Daniel Yeaw, a senior technical manager for functional safety, recently purchased a Ford Connected Charge Station for his 2021 Mustang Mach-E to replace his previous non-Ford charger. He appreciates that his new charger includes a holster, as well as a cord wrap to help keep his garage more organized. He typically charges the Mach-E overnight, when electricity rates are at their lowest, and is able to track his charge level through the FordPass App.

“It’s really nice waking up each morning and having a fully charged vehicle ready to go,” he said. “The price of energy is really low and not having to worry about charging or going to the gas station has been really nice.”

Yeaw, who lives in Dearborn, does nearly all of his charging at home and said he’s happy not having to worry about charging either at work or at public charging stations.

“[Range is] just something you don’t have to worry about,” he said. “Having a charger at home and being able to top off every night at home is way nicer than having a gas-powered vehicle where you have to go to the gas station. It’s almost like you’re getting a full tank of gas every night you park in your garage.”

The 48-amp Ford Connected Charge Station, which is recommended for the Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit, typically costs $799, while the 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro, which enables F-150 Lightning’s Intelligent Backup Power, is normally $1,310. Each charger is compatible with Ford’s over-the-air software updates to help keep it operating smoothly.
