The new record resets the timing benchmark for an electric and commercial vehicle at Mount Panorama. -
Driver Romain Dumas set the new lap record with a time of 1:56.3247 around the 6.2-kilometer circuit. -
Ryan Blaney finished second in a NASCAR Cup Series race in Atlanta that ended with a three-wide photo finish. -
Austin Cindric was fourth, Michael McDowell eighth and Chris Buescher ninth. -
Michael McDowell won Stage 1 and Cindric captured Stage 2. -
Seven Ford drivers combined to lead 178 of 260 laps. Todd Gilliland led a race-high 58 laps, while Cindric was next with 32 and Blaney third with 31. -
McDowell won the pole while Logano qualified second, as both Ford drivers started on the front row for the second consecutive race. -
The Cup Series will head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway Sunday. -
Riley Herbst was Ford’s top finisher in 15th place on Saturday in the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Atlanta. -
Herbst, who was second in Stage 1 and third in Stage 2, was running second with three laps to go before running out of fuel. -
Fuel issues also forced Cole Custer, running seventh at the time, Ryan Sieg and Hailie Deegan to pit road before the overtime restart. -
Custer finished 16th, while Sieg was 22nd and Deegan 27th. -
The Xfinity Series will head to Las Vegas Motor Speedway Saturday. -
Ty Majeski led Ford with a second-place finish in Saturday’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. -
He was fifth in Stage 1 and seventh in Stage 2 while also leading three laps on the day. -
Lawless Alan was 12th and Matt Crafton 13th. Layne Riggs finished 24th but was later disqualified. -
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series continues on Friday at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. -
The Repco Supercars Championship kicked off the season in Australia at the legendary Mount Panorama Circuit with Chaz Mostert leading the Ford Mustang Supercars with a third- and second-place result in race 1 and 2 of the Bathurst 500, respectively. -
Saturday’s Race 1 saw three Ford Mustang drivers in the top 10, including Mostert in third, Richie Stanaway in fourth, and Matthew Payne in 10th. -
Race 2 saw four Ford Mustang drivers in the top 10 with Mostert second, Thomas Randle in fourth, Payne in seventh and Will Davidson in 10th. -
Mostert holds the third position in the championship, just 21 points behind the series leader. -
The 2024 Repco Supercars Championship will resume March 21-24 on the streets of Albert Park with the Melbourne SuperSprint.
