In the latest episode of “Ted Talks,” Archives and Heritage Brand Manger Ted Ryan introduces an unsung Ford innovation: the fuel tank indicator arrow. The helpful hint was created in 1986 by former Ford engineer Jim Moylan after he grew frustrated with not knowing which side of the vehicle the gas tank was located on. His innovation proved so popular that other manufacturers also adopted it.
