Neil DeGrasse Tyson has become famous in recent years as the guy with whom you’d least like to see a science fiction movie, what with his penchant for pointing out inaccuracies in big-budget blockbusters. But anyone who’s followed his career for any period of time knows he’s also been incredibly successful as an evangelist for science and technology, helping to spark the public imagination about the mysteries of the universe in a way that recalls the work of Carl Sagan.

So, what does all of that have to do with cars? To find out, CEO Jim Farley sat down with Dr. Tyson for a wide-ranging discussion touching on the importance of learning new things, why exploring space is a worthwhile endeavor, and the influence of science when it comes to naming vehicles.
