Ford and Ford Fund are still on the ground in Florida with Team Rubicon. Work continues deploying Ford volunteers and the newly delivered fleet of Team Rubicon Powered by Ford vehicles to support communities affected by Hurricane Idalia.
Idalia was classified as a Category 3 storm with winds reaching up to 130 mph, resulting in mass evacuations, loss of property, widespread power outages and major barriers to emergency services.
Team Rubicon has activated its Emergency Operations Center in Dallas and has headed to missions across affected areas.
Team Rubicon is asking our Ford community to support them on the ground in two critical ways:
1. Donate.
Donate to Team Rubicon’s Ready Reserve Fund to ensure Team Rubicon can deploy as quickly as possible.
Disasters and humanitarian crises are devastating people with increased frequency, intensity, and cost. A donation to Team Rubicon will be focused in three critical areas: Response, Recovery, and Resilience.
By giving to the Ready Reserve Fund, your investment ensures vulnerable households will receive the services they need.
2. Volunteer.
Team Rubicon works with local community leaders to determine how Ford volunteers can support the immediate needs of the impacted communities. They will share the mission and assignments with us when they have been established.
