Ford Thailand Manufacturing (FTM) was recently recognized with the ‘Industrial factory with social and community responsibility’ award for its participation in the Corporate Social Responsibility program organized by Thailand’s Department of Industrial Works (CSR-DIW) in collaboration with the ISO certification institute, with the goal of promoting sustainable social responsibility practices among industrial manufacturers in Thailand.
This recognition reflects FTM's commitment to creating economic value in the community through the production of high-quality vehicles, while also being an integral part of driving and taking care of the community, the environment, and the welfare of people in the community.
FTM has demonstrated its social responsibility through various initiatives, such as creating learning opportunities for students in special education centers in Rayong province by installing and delivering sensory rooms and devices to enhance their skills and development, building playgrounds for children with special needs, and managing health and safety for the lives and assets of Ford employees. "Ford has always adhered to the principles of business ethics throughout our operations, and we believe it is crucial to continuously develop the community's strength, particularly in the development of people's lives and education. This year is the first year that Ford has participated in the CSR-DIW project, and we are ready to continue developing our factory in all aspects to help drive sustainable development in Thailand," said Thammasak Apibanworrakul, human resources manager at FTM.
