PARIS, France – A car that became a big screen legend in San Francisco set a record in France over the weekend.
The iconic Ford Mustang Bullitt shot to fame after starring in arguably the greatest movie car chase ever back in 1968. Fifty-five years on, 33 Mustang Bullitts converged in France in what is believed to be the largest gathering of the cars in that country.

The Bullitt Days event took place close to Bourge in central France. Over two days, invited guests got to visit the local Ford dealership, stop off at Menetou-Salon castle, dine at the Vieux Moulin restaurant, and on Sunday, take part in a big Bullitt tour of neighbouring villages.
Ford France’s Fabrice Devanlay said: “We have only received good feedback from our guests. We couldn't have wished for a better start to this first ever Bullitt Days event with 33 Bullitts present, a French record!”
