
VALENCIA, Spain – This four-legged Ford robot was just one of 149 innovative technologies Ford Almusaffes showcased at its second annual I+Day in Valencia last week.
Developed to help maintain production equipment, it’s a health monitoring device that predicts maintenance processes to apply preventative treatments in production machinery.
The robot made a surprise appearance on stage in front of Valencia President Carlos Mazón, and more than 500 guests including representatives of public administrations, members of large companies, entrepreneurs, universities, suppliers, media, associations and researchers.
Other Ford technologies showcased on the day included automated vehicles (AGVs), 3D printing and digitization.
Carlos Mazón said: "I want to thank and acknowledge what this day symbolizes, and the context that surrounds it.This second edition of I+Day Ford shows all the commitment to innovation of Ford, thanks to which the Valencian automotive sector remains reference.
