VALENCIA, Spain – Ford Pro is now providing a new level of care for patients in Valencia, Spain, using the first E-Transit ambulance in the country.
Valencia-based firm Indusauto took on the job of transforming a regular E-Transit into a high-tech ambulance, installing advanced medical equipment where other customers might carry pipes or planks.
The E-Transit ambulance delivers smoother, quieter journeys, thanks to its electric motor and advanced suspension – beneficial for transporting especially vulnerable patients, including new-born babies.
In accident situations, every second counts and already paramedics have praised the responsive electric motor that is more powerful than any diesel Transit and offers faster acceleration.
“When it comes to reaching patients, the E‑Transit helps us with improved handling and faster acceleration,” said Mario Pérez, paramedic, Transvia MED.
Transvia MED is Valencia’s largest ambulance company with 270 vehicles and 700 employees. The company operates 365 days a year, and its operations center receives between 1,500 and 2,000 calls a day.
